I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed trading at the Vintage/Retro fair at the Castleton Park Hotel over the last two events, however, I am putting away the price tags and getting on the glad rags for the next event to attend the afternoon tea (which I have drooled over at the last two events). At €15 I cannot think of a better way to spend a Sunday……good friends, good food and shopping; my ideal day!
For those of you who are active on social media, you will already be aware that this month I brought along my Mothers Handmade crafts and Paintings, as well as my friend Treasa (Thank you, was so much better having someone with me). We sold a good bit and my mother got huge interest in additional orders. It did highlight that you need a Facebook page or website to sell for particular items such as hats/fascinators and crafts, as they may not be required at a particular point of time but would be wanted in the future. I am delighted to say I have been contacted since Sunday with a request for personalized items from my Mother, here is hoping it continues!
So again I did not get a chance to go around to everyone, so I will do a complete review on all traders at this months event on the 20th of March. I will however Highlight a few on this post that caught my eye!
Saraki Skin care (Brenners McGoo) – Handmade Natural Skincare
I bought a lip scrub and the Owl night balm and I love them both. The lip scrub is so good and smells divine so much so, I licked it off and it ate it (though I am not recommending you do that). Most importantly it does a fabulous job of removing the dead skin from my lips and it will become part of bi-weekly pamper fest. The night balm is also really soothing and makes my skin feel really hydrated without causing any breakouts (a miracle in my case). I think that with all the chemicals and preservatives that we use on a daily basis, it is nice to find items that really work and are all natural! It also helped that Brenners McGoo was so helpful and lovely (and gave me a great fashion tip), I will be back for more on the 20th of March.
Happily ever after supplied the most beautiful arch to dress up the stage and it made a huge difference to ambience of the room this month. If you are planning any events in the near future, click on their heading and it will bring you to their page.
Again I have to give Victoria H a shout out, I bought this beautiful ring for €5 and its gorgeous on (I love a bargain). I wore it all week and got so many compliments. We were beside her stall and her items flew off the shelf, a testament of the quality and prices of her items. She will be back again on the 20th of March or you can go and visit her store on Williams Street, Limerick.
The Antique Loft had the most beautiful vintage jewellery, I had a lovely chat with Sharon and I am delighted that she is back this month again so that I can have a proper look through her collection. You can also visit her online shop here: Antique loft Shop
Champagne Beauty based in Newport, done a gorgeous job on all the models along with the competition winner of the makeover and afternoon tea. Below is just a sample of their work:
