Essence Cosmetics Metal Shock Eyeshadows you should be very privileged! I don’t normally write micro blogs but I had to give this little beauty a post of its own. I personally never bought into the hype around the Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter; as €27 was too big of a price tag for something I would not get a huge amount of use out of. I do not go out that often and that would be the only time I would go to full on glitter! However for €4.50 I was all on for trying the Essence Cosmetics version.
Essence Cosmetics Metal Shock Eyeshadows – Stars and Stories
I picked up the stars and stories in my local pharmacy; it is a lovely rose gold colour. It reminds me of the Stila magnificent metals glitter in rose gold retro.
As I said above; This gem cost a whole of €4.50. I put it to the test a couple of weeks ago on a night out. It was still there at ridiculous o’clock, after a full night of dancing and no doubt eye wiping.
On the packaging it says to apply with the applicator and use your finger or brush to blend it out. Personally, I find using my finger the easiest option. It also claims to be long-lasting and smudge proof. I used eye primer and found that both claims stood up to the test.
Below I just banged it on to take this picture as you can see for my very bad eyeliner lol. It just goes to show that no thought is needed. Just dot it on if your going for a spotlight eye or swipe over the whole lid for a full on metal look.
There was a small bit of glitter fallout but nothing excessive.
I don’t think I need to point out that no filter was used. If I used one, I would have softened out them blasted smile lines (yes that is what I am calling them).
To sum it up, I loved this off the cuff buy. It did what it said on the tin, was an affordable price and is easy to get your hands on it.
Penneys, McCabes and Lloyd’s are just 3 places that come to mind. Plenty of other pharmacies also stock Essence Cosmetics.
They have another 4 colours and I for one will be purchasing more!
Until next time
