I was kindly sent out (PR Sample) the Isadora ultra matt liquid lipstick and perfect blush to try out a month or so ago. If you follow me on any of my social media channels, you have heard me rave about the Isadora ultra matt liquid lipstick. It even featured in my top products under €15 (you can read HERE). I have also spoken about the blush on snapchat and instastories (links are at the end).
I will spilt the post to cover the lipstick and then the blush. For both, I will go through the positives and negatives of each and show you application of both. Before I get into the nitty gritty, I think its important to note that in my opinion Isadora products do not get enough credit! Anything I have used from the brand has not disappointed me yet. If you have not tried it; you need to get on it my friend 😉
Isadora Ultra Matt Liquid Lipstick
In Ireland at present there are 3 shades available; Dolce Rose, Vintage Pink and Cool Mauve. These lipsticks make the claim that “dry and uncomfortable lips would be a thing of the past”. It combines the lightness of a gloss with a more intense colour of a lipstick with a matt finish. It retails at €12.95
I was kindly given vintage pink to try out and I will go through the positives and negatives below.
A perfectly shaped applicator making it easy to apply.
Is buildable if you would like an intense colour payoff
Does feel lightweight on the lips
Does not feel drying on the lips
Wears off nicely (does not gather or peel)
I wish it lasted slightly longer before wearing off
Yes only 1 negative and that is me being very picky. I mean I have tried a lot of matt liquid lipstick and this is my favourite by far. It has become a staple in my makeup bag since I received it.
I have found it hard to pick up the other colours locally but I recently sourced them at Feel Unique. You can check them out HERE. If you prefer to see them in the flesh; you can check out your nearest stockist HERE
Isadora Perfect Blush
The blushes come in 7 different shades; Soft Coral, Bare Berry, Poppy Peach, Peaches n Cream, Nude Blossom, Dust Rose, Pink Glow, Frosty Rose and Pinky Peach. Isadora says that the blushes are creamy, velvet and smooth with a rich colour and sweeps on flawlessly. They retail at €12.95.
Applies sheer and easily buildable
Has a lovely diffused finish (especially pink glow)
Do not look or feel powdery on the skin
Perfect for those who fear blush (like me)
Lasted the day
The blush range as a whole does not cater for dark skin tones
Overall I was impressed with both blushes, frosty rose has a matt finish while Pink Glow has more golden glow. I don’t own NARS Organism but I have worn it and this is a more stripped back version of it! For a person who generally stays away from blush, I have to say I now alternate between both for my daytime makeup look.
