I am in love with the Makeup Revolution Ultra Sculpt & Contour Kit for fair skin! I don’t always do post on individual items, I generally bundle them together but sometimes a product needs its own post for either good or bad reasons. In this case it is all good…..no not good, amazing!!
Makeup Revolution Ultra Sculpt & Contour Kit retails between at €4.95 and it is worth every penny and more. I know I have a love of Makeup Revolution but its because their products are soooo budget friendly but they are also amazing quality. The pigment and staying power are as good as some of the more expensive brands out there!
So on to the nitty gritty…………
Makeup Revolution Ultra Sculpt & Contour Kit -The Details
The Makeup Revolution Ultra Sculpt & Contour Kit for fair skin contains a bronzer, highlight and blush, so you have all you need in 1 palette. It is the perfect size to throw in your bag, if like me you only get your foundation on before you get out the door in the morning. There is a small vertical mirror at the top of the inside of the kit. It is not really big enough but if your stuck it will do the job. The clasp on it is so strong there is no fear of it opening and spilling its contents all over your bag….yes this has happened to me many times with other products lol.
The bronzer is the perfect shade for pale/fair skin but it is quite warm toned so may not suit more cool toned skins. It is really pigmented but so easy to blend out. I just love it for a light contoured look suitable for work and day use. I apply it from the top of my ear (were most of the product sits) right under my cheek bone. I only bring it down as far as the out corner of my eye. If you bring it any further it does get very muddy like any bronzer.
I find it gives a nice subtle definition without it being too dark on the face, however it is buildable if you like to have a stronger contour look . For me the bronzer really makes the palette, I have looked for the perfect shade and this is it! I also have used it as an eye shadow; when I have forgotten to bring an eye shadow palette 😉
The highlight like all Makeup Revolution highlighters is amazing. It has a lovely peachy tone to it, so again perfect for the fair skin. You can build the intensity of it which is perfect to move from a day to night look. I don’t generally use highlight during the day when I am going to work (so its missing from the below picture). Any other time I put it on the highest point of my cheekbone, above my brow bone, tip of my nose and cupids bow. Rule of thumb for highlighter is the apply to the highest points of the face where the sun natural hits.
The blusher is a lovely pinky-peachy shimmer blush, again I have used this as an eye shadow when got on the hop! Again it is very light on the skin and depending on what brush you use to apply it the colour can be more peachy with a less dense brush and more pinky with a dense brush. I like the blush but I would have preferred a matt blush but that’s just my preference. I sometimes find that a shimmery blush can highlight my pores more!
Overall the Makeup Revolution Ultra Sculpt & Contour Kit is a must but for those of us who have paler skin. I think we all know its a struggle to get products that really suit our pallor skin 😉 It can take you from day to night, is small enough to go in your bag, great pigmentation and blendability and the best bit – a really affordable price of €5.
Hope this review helped and as always any feedback is welcome. I would also love to know what your favourite Makeup Revolution product? I am slowly building my collection and would love to know what your suggestions are.
