Sleek Makeup Lip Vip Semi Matte Lipsticks – Review, Swatches and Lip Look
So I was lucky enough to attend a Bloggers Lunch in the Stone Leaf Restaurant in Dublin. We got to see the new Sleek Makeup releases for Autumn. If you follow me on Social Media you would have seen all the beautiful products which include a color corrector palette, A CC cream, Dip it Liner, Cleopatra Kisses Highlighter Palette, Matte Liquid Lipsticks and the 5 Lip Vip Semi Matte Lipsticks.
For this post I am going to focus on the Sleek Makeup Lip Vip Semi Matte Lipsticks, which give intense colour, long-lasting staying power yet are soft and non drying on the lips. The 5 shades incorporate nudes, bright and dark shades so there is something in the collection to suit everyone.
Sleek Makeup Lip Vip Semi Matte – Swatches and Close Ups
The Sleek Makeup Lip Vip Semi Matte Lipsticks range contains 5 shades: Private Booth, Flaunt it, Attitude, Show Off, Night Spot which you can see swatched below.
The lipsticks include Shea butter, Coconut oil and Vitamin E to make sure the lips are kept hydrated while using them. This is one of the main reasons I love these! So on to the nitty gritty…
Is a nudie pink which is perfect for a day look or if you have the emphasis on your eye makeup. This colour is not ideal for my skin tone but I generally mix it up with another lip colour. I think it is suited to more warm toned skin types, it is a beautiful colour and is lovely and smooth on the lips.
Is an orange red colour which actually looks more orange in the packaging then it actual does in real life. When I saw it initially I thought this would be a no go colour for me but surprisingly it suits me down to the ground.
Now this is my favourite colour out of all the range, it is right up my alley. Its a real dark reddish brown and is perfect for autumn. I love that it wears off naturally without gathering at the corners of my lips or cracking. Apologies in advance for the chipped top, I knocked it off as I was taking the picture lol
Is another colour that looks really bright and pink in the packaging but looks a lot milder than it actually is. If I am honest I am happier with this as I think it would have been too bright for me to wear 🙂
This is my second favourite colour in the range….think there is a pattern here. It has a real 90’s feel about it but I love it, I use it for during the day and reserve attitude for night time.
Final Thoughts and Lip Look
All in all I thought these lipsticks were perfect for day wear, they were nice and moisturizing yet had staying power and nice natural wear off on the lips. They retail at €7.49 so they don’t break the bank and are easily bought either in-store or online. Not all the colours were suitable for me or rocked my boat but then that’s why there is a range lol what I like you may hate.
Ultimately for me, once I have decided on the colour I want my lipstick to sit nicely, not dry out my lips and to wear off naturally and these Lip Vip Semi Matte Lipsticks sure did that.
