Vichy Dermablend 3D Correction Foundation Review

Vichy 3D Dermablend Correction Fluid puttingitoutthere ie Cover2

For any of you who follow me on my Social Media Channels, know I finally got my hands on a few samples of the Vichy Dermablend 3D Correction Foundation (Thank you so much Sean Hillery’s Pharmacy) and OMG it is officially my new Holy Grail product and that is all I am going to say! Well obviously I am going to tell you more or it would be the worst blog post in history!

I want to start by saying I was so disappointed with other Pharmacy’s for not supplying samples. I asked numerous pharmacy’s prior to going to Sean Hillery’s  in SkyCourt Shannon and I was just told no (even though they had some tester pots). I am not going to buy a product over €15 without trying it out, it’s as simple as that and I am sure I am not alone on this one. So pharmacy’s if your reading this, you need to get your act together!! It was safe to say that when I decided to purchase the foundation, I purchased it from Sean Hillery’s!

The Low Down – Vichy Dermablend 3D Correction Foundation

On to the Vichy Dermablend 3D Correction Foundation, I found the coverage AMAZING, yet it did not feel heavy on my skin like Estee Lauder Double Wear. I suffer from Acne along with scars, redness and large pores and I was pleasantly surprised how it covered them without making them more noticeable up close.

On Vichy’s Website the say the following about Dermablend 3D Correction Foundation:

Dermablend 3D is enriched with reference skincare ingredients, salicylic acid and eperulin, which soothes the feel of skin and reduces the appearance of imperfections.

Up to 16 hour wear
– 5 shades
– Dermatological tolerance
– Tested on sensitive skin
– Allergy tested
– Non comedogenic
– SPF 25 for shades 05 to 55
– SPF 15 for shades 65 and 75

The complexion looks even, smooth and matte for up to 16 hours. The skin feels supple and comfortable.

The skin’s transformation is immediate: 91% of women agree it improves their acne-prone skin texture*

A breathable, gentle, effective formula that will:
– Leave skin looking clearer
– Provide immediate texture correction
– Helps conceal blemishes and breakouts of acne
– Reduce the appearance of redness
– Mattify skin for a natural finish

In a nutshell, it last for 16 hours (as long as you use a setting powder), it reduces the appearance of complexion issue such as redness and acne, it does not block your pores and it is AMAZING.

To demonstrate I took before and after pictures (be kind) and I also showed a close up of me covering up a birthmark on my hand (only because I found it hard to do a close up of my face). I think it is all well reading reviews of products but if you cannot actually see the difference….what is the point! No filters were used in the making ha-ha. Also note I am using the lightest shade no.15 Opal. I also apologize in advance for the miserable face on me!

I am not sure what happened to the photo above, I reckon a shadow of my hand (need to get a selfie stick)…fecking raging now but you get the gist!

Skin Prep

What I will say is that if you suffer from oily skin/combination skin like myself and more so if you suffer from dry skin; you need to use a hydrating moisturizer prior to using the foundation. I had tested the foundation on my hand on different occasion while try to get a sample and I was always concerned how it seemed to sink into the lines of my hand (my hands would be quite dry). You can see what I mean by looking at the picture of the birthmark.

With that in mind the night before I used it for the first time (as it was for a night out) I used my Garnier Sleeping miracle cream which is amazing to hydrate and even out the skin. On the day I used Bioderma Hydrabio Serum prior to application and in my opinion it sat on my skin just beautifully.

All of the above was with just one layer and a stippling brush (you use this brush to give a light airbrush look not full coverage).I put a small amount of the foundation directly on my face – cheeks, chin, nose and with what was left on the brush to do my forehead (us more line refined ladies should really do this, you don’t need much coverage on your forehead). I just used circular motions to work it in to my skin but if you want more coverage I would replace the stippling brush for a damp beauty blender and pat it in.

Once the foundation was in place and any other liquid products that were used I applied my setting powder (Catrice Nude Illusion loose powder as featured in a previous post HERE).

To Sum it Up

So I hope you enjoyed the post and that it will help decide if Vichy Dermablend 3D Correction Foundation is for you. I am in love and I hope if you decide to buy you will also be as delighted as I was. If you do decide to buy and your near the Shannon area, I would advise to pop into Sean Hillery’s in SkyCourt Shopping Centre Shannon, they go above and beyond with their helpful advice.

Update – I have not reached for my  Vichy Dermablend in a while after it broke down really badly on my nose area. My skin is now quite dehydrated and the two don’t seem to mix at all. This is definitely suitable for oily or normal skin types. I would advise anyone who suffers from dehydration or dryness to stay clear!

Yvonne xx
