Finally as promised post no. 2 on the fabulous swap shop and Vintage Retro revival rail sale hosted by the very gorgeous LesleyAnne. The first blog piece focused on me and my challenge but I really wanted to write a piece about the traders and their offerings.
Unfortunately I did not get around to everybody, as part of the challenge was to complete it on my own, so I could not really abandon ship 🙂 but there were a few standouts in my opinion which I could see courtesy of the Fashion show that took place. I promise at the next event which is on again on the 28th of February at the Castletroy Park Hotel I will get around to all the traders.
Sinead Freshgarbage had some gorgeous vintage pieces and was taking orders for her Forever Memory Cushions which are a beautiful gift to remember a loved one by, as she makes them out of their clothing. She also offers art classes as well as producing one off up cycled items.
Hazel Nuts about Vintage had some gorgeous vintage clothing with many items only €5! I have to say she has the most beautiful ruffle blouses I have ever seen. She was also so nice and welcoming, a joy for any customer and I will defiantly be buying when she is back in Limerick on the 28th of February. She also has an online shop which you will find here: https://hazels-nuts-about-vintage.myshopify.com/
No.15 “Le Maison de Curio” what can I say except for Wow!! I am embarrassed to say I have never visited this shop but it is going to be my first port of call when I have an event to go to this year. Based in Anne Street, Limerick they stock vintage wedding dresses, unique accessories and beautiful gowns. If your in Limerick City a visit to here is definitely required!
Victoria H was another gem for reasonable priced fashion with sizes ranging from size 8 to 20. Dresses start from €10 which includes Evening wear and Wedding dresses. The gorgeous selection of bags that were on offer flew out the door on the day. Louise McInerney MC for the day was wearing a beautiful hat supplied by Victoria H. You will find her store on Wickham Street, Limerick. A visit here is on my to do list for next week….god help my wallet!
Absolutely Fab Les’ Boutique the hostess with the mostest also had some gorgeous offering’s on the day which included an array of shoes along with a vast offering of vintage/retro clothing. You can contact her to arrange a viewing and I am sure she will only be too willing to offer styling tips if needed.
They were so many other traders that had wonderful items and I will nab them next time to get a good look at their collections and find out more about them, so watch this space.
I have to also give a shout out to the wonderful Miss Marples Tea Rooms who put on a gorgeous spread. I think the tables will be snapped up for the next event!! I also loved that there was a Man cave for the lads to go in and play pool, watch the match or just chill if they did not want to carry the bags!
I could not finish the piece without mentioning Allie Glynn Photography who’s pictures I used for illustrating this piece and who also was trading on the day. Obsessed Hair Make Up and Champagne Beauty who done a gorgeous job on the models hair and makeup and of course the lovely models.
I hope you all enjoyed the piece and more importunely, I hope it has given you more of an insight into the day and encourages you to attend the next event on the 28th of February.
Hope to see you then!
