Who doesn’t want to look pretty in pink?
As we know Fashion Trends come and go, however, I love with it involves a colour! At least with a colour, you can always pull it out of your wardrobe; unlike a particular style or cut.
For a very long time, my wardrobe consisted of just black and white. The odd time I would throw in a dark green or blue lol. To be fair black and white are a classic combination and will be forever in style; and lets not forget black is the most slimming colour to wear!
All of that said, I have now incorporated more colour into my life. It brightens up my mood and makes me happy. I can safely say I never thought I write a post about being pretty in pink but there you go! How boring would life be if we never tried anything new?
Any way on to the point of the post which is all to do with rocking pink for spring/summer 2017.

Pretty in Pink – Duster Coat
If the thought of Pink scares you, go for a more muted pastel dusty pink. I have picked this gorgeous dusty pink duster coat from Vavavoom to give you an idea. This type of coat is perfect for the warmer weather; it is lightweight yet covers the arms (if you wish to cover these areas) and will keep the breeze out as the evening draws in. If you are conscious of any lumps of bumps, this coat will also camouflage these problem areas.
This pink duster coat will dress up any outfit. I would wear as per the picture over a leather style pants/leggings for a night out. You could also pair this over a dress for a special occasion or with light wash jeans and white t-shirt for a more casual look.
Pretty in Pink – Hot Pink Culotte Jumpsuit
If you are feeling very brave and want to go with a hot pink number then this Pink Culotte Jumpsuit from Warehouse is the way to go! I love the idea of this for a special occasion such as a wedding, communion, confirmation or even for a night out instead of a dress.
Culottes are another trend for spring/summer 17. Don’t be afraid to give them a go! Style it out with black or gold shoes and accessories depending on your mood!
Pretty in Pink – LPD (Little Pink Dress)
If you are a dress woman at heart and are looking for something different; then this Pretty Little Things dress is for you! The high neck and red piping gives the dress a lovely twist. I can imagine wearing this out on holidays for a few drinks.
If you have amazing legs, then this is the dress to show them off. I always stick with the rule legs or boobs not both lol
Pretty in Pink – Keeping it Casual
Pink is the perfect colour for jumpers and cardigans; all which are a key requirement in Ireland for spring/summer! This is by far the easiest way to incorporate a little bit of pink into your wardrobe.
Even a little pink T-shirt will give a nice finish to white or black jeans.
Here are a few picks that I am loving.
Pretty in Pink – Accessories it Out!
If you think pink just is not your thing, then why not just add it as an accessories. From bags, to shoes, scarfs and jewellery you can still bring a bit of pink to your outfit!
Below are a few ideas for you.
So that’s a wrap on the pretty in pink (and my first) what’s on trend series. I hope it give you some ideas and I am looking forward to doing more in this series.
Let me know if there is any trend you would like me to cover next!
Until Next Time
